Lintel systems — stainless steel
Technical product reference for stainless steel lintel systems for masonry facade remediation on Australian Class 2 strata buildings. Covers grade 316L stainless steel angle and flat bar lintels for coastal, marine-influenced and high-exposure masonry applications where galvanised or duplex-coated steel lintels would fail within an acceptable service life. Structural engineer specification is mandatory for all lintel replacements.
Stainless steel lintel types
Select the lintel type below to compare individual suppliers, technical data, and procurement sources.
Angle Lintel
Grade 316L equal angle — 75×75×6 mm standard section — for coastal and marine-influenced masonry openings. 50+ year service life. Engineer specified.
Flat Bar Lintel
Grade 316L flat bar — for shallow coastal rebate openings where equal angle section cannot fit — restricted spans under 2 m.
Back-to-Back Angle
Two 316L equal angles welded back-to-back — higher section modulus for wide coastal openings where a single angle section is insufficient.
