Ardex Australia
Ardex K 15 Microtec
Rapid-drying cementitious self-levelling compound
Ardex K 15 Microtec is a rapid-drying, MICROTEC fibre-reinforced cementitious self-levelling compound for producing a smooth, flat substrate ahead of floor finishes. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM the thickness range, drying time and pack against the current Ardex Australia TDS.
Ardex Australia
Ardex K 301
Rapid-setting cementitious self-levelling compound (exterior-capable)
Ardex K 301 is a rapid-setting cementitious self-levelling compound rated for exterior / wet-area use within the correct system. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM the thickness range, exterior suitability and pack against the current Ardex Australia TDS.
Ardex Australia
Ardex K 55
Rapid-drying cementitious self-levelling & smoothing compound
Ardex K 55 is a rapid-drying cementitious self-levelling and smoothing compound for fast-track floor programmes, producing a smooth substrate ahead of floor finishes. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM thickness range, drying time and pack against the current Ardex Australia TDS.
Sika Australia
Sikafloor Level TOP
Cementitious self-levelling underlayment
Sikafloor Level TOP is a cementitious self-levelling underlayment producing a smooth, flat substrate ahead of floor finishes. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM set/dry speed, thickness range and pack against the current Sika Australia TDS.
Mapei Australia
Mapei Ultraplan Eco
Low-dust cementitious self-levelling underlayment
Mapei Ultraplan Eco is a low-dust cementitious self-levelling underlayment for a smooth, flat finish substrate, suited to cleaner placement in occupied buildings. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM thickness range, drying time and pack against the current Mapei Australia TDS.
Parchem
Parchem Durafloor Leveltop Rapid
Rapid self-smoothing floor levelling underlayment
Parchem Durafloor Leveltop Rapid is a rapid trowellable / self-smoothing cementitious floor levelling underlayment for fast-track programmes. Over a magnesite slab it must be applied over a moisture-suppression primer / DPM. CONFIRM thickness range, drying time and pack against the current Parchem TDS.

Do not confuse self-levelling underlayments with:
- Moisture suppression primers — primers are applied before self-levelling compounds and are a separate step; self-levelling underlayments must never be applied without the correct moisture primer on magnesite; the two products work in sequence, not as substitutes
- Floor patching compounds and feather-edge compounds — patching compounds are used to fill localised depressions and voids before SLC application; they are spot applied, not poured over the full floor area; SLC is applied over the full floor area after localised patching is complete
- Epoxy floor coatings and toppings (Sika Sikafloor 264, Fosroc Nitocote) — epoxy floor coatings are applied as thin wearing surfaces on fully cured concrete; they do not self-level, do not fill depth variations, and are not underlayments for floor coverings
- Concrete micro-toppings and overlays — thin decorative concrete overlays are applied for aesthetic effect; they are not floor levelling compounds and do not satisfy the planarity requirements of AS 1884 for floor covering installation
- Tile adhesive bed (thick-bed adhesive mortar) — thick-bed cementitious tile adhesive is applied at 6–20 mm as a bedding layer during tiling; it is not poured to self-level and cannot substitute for a proper floor levelling underlayment under vinyl, carpet, or timber floor coverings
