System Description
Westox Water Repellent DG is a clear water repellent treatment for masonry, concrete, brick, and rendered facade surfaces. Clear water repellents provide hydrophobic treatment to reduce water absorption by the substrate without significantly changing the substrate appearance — unlike opaque coatings, the treated surface retains its natural look. Water repellent treatments are applied as a preventive maintenance treatment to reduce rain-driven water penetration into masonry and concrete facades, reducing efflorescence, staining, and freeze-thaw damage. Confirm current product technical data sheet, application method (penetrating vs. surface-applied), coverage rate, substrate requirements, and system design with Westox technical before specifying. 'DG' designation may indicate a specific Westox product grade — confirm with Westox.
